thats what the hover feature is for...hold your mouse above the title of a thread and you get to read the first few lines, saving you the trouble of opening a retarded thread. wish i'd used it for this one...Comment

Re: i think...
i named this thread like a jackass on purpose!
examples:
one word names like "paypal", and "chiefs" i guess are the biggest culprits.
other two word names that are not very good... "go jets!", "hotmail accounts", "download section", "download section?", "features missing", "josh wink", "buying music", etc.
just an oberservation... it's all good! =)i reject your reality, and substitute my own.

What about "The Chiefs are playing Denver at this moment and are doing horrible?"
Maybe "I am having problem with my Hotmail account and want to know if you are having the same problem?"
...or even "Do you prefer to buy music from the store or would you rather download and steal it from the Internet?"
the threads were left open for discussion... that's what threads are for.
I could agree in regards to the "Digweed on Kiss100 last night" because it doesn't have a specific artist in it. When it's archived in 6 months we'll have no clue what that thread's about. other than that, I'd say most threads explain the topic completely and would give us a good idea what to expect when we go in it.Comment

Re: i think...
well i think there is a happy medium in there somewhere. you're examples are quite over the top and are not what i was getting at. getting a little more specific wouldn't hurt, so people know what they're getting into. whereas extremely general topics like "paypal" are, well, just too damn general... especially if posted in GYY, where there is a lot of activity and lots of general topics. if everyone who posted something regarding paypal named their topic "paypal"... well, then we might have a problem. for example, maybe like "paypal crash" or "paypal crashing for anyone else?" might have been a little better... i dunno.. whatever. i think we all know what i'm getting at and i don't think i need to cite anymore examples nor give any more examples of better (imo) topic names. i didn't mean to offend anyone nor make a big issue out of it, it was just an observation.i reject your reality, and substitute my own.

Re: i think...
I'm not offended... I just think that in a "General Yakkity Yak" topics should promote discussion.
I guess either way people are going to say what they want about PayPal regardless of the subject, so the title doesn't really matter. I could start a thread called "Sasha" and talk about how I hate him, and you'll still have hundreds of people turn it into a 30-page thread about how much he's "pushing the envelope."Comment
