Tomorrow is the big day that Discovery channel is coming to see my idea. I am pumped and would like to thank you guys for giving your feedback on the concept. Hopefully the show will be on by next week for everyone to see. On the Science channel in the USA and Daily Planet in Canada and China.
RM, I couldn't find the original thread but had a question for you. I'm sure you guys have already thought of this but say the room/building/hallway is full of smoke and someone wakes up or is disoriented with their surroundings (after all they're engulfed in smoke) and they see the laser light. How do they know which way to go if the light spans from one wall to the other? Is it strategically positioned to be up in the air pointing down so they know to follow the laser up? Just curious.

And I hope your product does save many lives. Just think of the people you could be helping out with it!
The sailors of the United States Navy are among the most disciplined, devoted, and well-trained fighting men the world has ever known. They drink gasoline and piss fire, The spit bullets and shit bombs, and will swim across the ocean with a knife in their teeth just for the chance to carve up those that threaten their homeland.
runningman, I still think your whole site could use some trimming. delivery is everything, and you have a paragraph made of up two lengthy sentences on the front page... I'm not saying that this is what you need to use, but I think it has much more effect than the original statement. Hope you don't take this constructive criticism the wrong way.
example:
No matter how thick the smoke, LaserAid clearly identifies the most effective and efficient routes for evacuees and rescue professionals to evacuate and navigate during life threatening events. The patent pending highly visible dual color laser emergency navigation system is being praised by fire chiefs as a much better system than exit signs as the new technology makes their jobs a whole lot easier.

The green laser beam positioned on the right side takes you to the closest exit. The red laser beam positioned on the right side takes you into the building. Smoke particles enhance the visibility of the lasers.
so follow green and you'll be out of the building..pretty cool idea..definetly have to train people though..so they know green is out and its on the right hand side
But a laser is a continuous beam of light. So therefore if it is shooting toward north (from south) you could follow it south and if you were on the east side it would be on your right. But you could become confused and follow it north (not knowing which direction the light is coming from since it's continuous and does not fade) and it would be on your right if you were west of the beam.
Does that make sense?
