Ingrasso and Angello... i love a lot of their stuff but everything is starting to sound the same..
    same goes for Eric Prydz

King Unique - one of my favorite duos..but still their new stuff is sounding the same..
whatever happened to the creativity orchestrated in Sugarhigh.. such an awesome tune

IMO and maybe I'm missing the boat on this one, anything tribal sounds the same. Throw a couple of congas and bongos against a bassline, add a couple of synths and maybe an airy female vocal and you have every Iberican track ever made.

          asdf is gonna kill me,

but sasha needs to go back to vinyl and long mixing. had GU SFran on the other day after listening to his set from WMC and the WMC sounded like shit. there is a lot of dreamy atmosphere missing nowadays. i guess this comes from hearing him at twilo all the time back in the day...... that was magic. this is just good music. if the vinyl is that heavy, im sure there are fans who would carry it for the hell of it. once he played tiefscwartx and that yoshimoto tune.... well, i kinda lost him.

Here here, I agree that Deep Dish need to change it up. Back like they used smack it down! Essential Mix of '98 and the Kiss set live at Bedrock are ACE!!!

cattaneo needs to mix it up. it all sounds like just beats with a few nice basslines that repeat way too much.

what do you mean when you say "go back to mixing at all"? what do you think he does with Ableton Live? It's the same deal, just with far more possibilities, and what do you mean "you like track structure now and again"? you don't like the structure of the tracks he uses or you don't like the way he constructs his sets with the tracks? Either way he's still number 1 so who cares?

The DJs I'm following nowadays tend to mix it up with the seasons. Now that's pretty easy where I'm from, as we actually do have all four seasons, and trust me, your mood changes with each of them.

Joe you're so dead on about tribal.

Fuckin? A! And when it?s not an airy female voice, it?s some dude with a low-pitched voice pretending to be "dark" and "menacing". Feel my drums??? Feel my cheap boots up your ass, more like!

Portugal had a scene that was constantly praised everywhere a few years ago. Now, every fucker plays tribal/"Iberican" sounds, every kid rips off Chus & Ceballos? playlist, every freaking party is always Chus & Ceballos, or some tribal DJ, people still wet themselves when they see Deep Dish on a line up...I?m sick of this!

Fortunately, some people are slowly opening their eyes, but it?s still too little...
