yeah, i'm from boston, but probably only go back there once every 12-18 months now. every time i go back, i can't stand it more and more. asia is the place to be the way the world is going IMO.
the only complaint i've heard from people in japan about long term stays is that they never really get accpeted into the culture even if they marry a japanese chick and learn the language. like one doctor refused to give my friend's half-japanese daughter the all-in-one vaccination because he claimed she wasn't japanese. WTF.
koreans love their k-pop and cheesy music. there's a bit of a counterculture around some of the unis, but in a lot of ways it's way less interesting than japan and much more conformist/keeping up with the jones. seoul is a great city though.
