    1. consciousness is gradable, so it depends what you mean - perceptual consciousness, awarness, self-consciousness...
    even better question is why is it advantageous to be consciouss?

    2. mind = another level of description of what goes on in the brain. consciousness in the brain = neuronal synchronization

    I'm writting a phd thesis on this...

                            this wasnt me cheating on my homework...my project was half my conducting a survey and analyzing peoples answers. So by any of you posting you didnt do my homework for me.

                                        1. A state you enter when you come to understand how you can use your senses to understand the world/universe around you and how you may affect the world/universe.

                                        2. The brain interprets the barrage of information coming to you and your mind helps you decide which is pleasant, hurtfull......all of those feelings and it usually confuses the heck out of you.

                                        Cool question, even way cooler responses.
                                        Not living my life to see if I get into heaven or hell, just how long I'll have to spend in purgatory.
