Try killing off some of your processes. You may just have too much stuff running thats hogging your cpu/memory. Check in task manager and sort by CPU use. I've had some runaway/background process do that to me.

"Son," he said without preamble, "never trust a man who doesn't drink because he's probably a self-righteous sort, a man who thinks he knows right from wrong all the time. Some of them are good men, but in the name of goodness, they cause most of the suffering in the world. They're the judges, the meddlers. And, son, never trust a man who drinks but refuses to get drunk. They're usually afraid of something deep down inside, either that they're a coward or a fool or mean and violent. You can't trust a man who's afraid of himself. But sometimes, son, you can trust a man who occasionally kneels before a toilet. The chances are that he is learning something about humility and his natural human foolishness, about how to survive himself. It's damned hard for a man to take himself too seriously when he's heaving his guts into a dirty toilet bowl."

happens to me too at work. more RAM and a faster processor should sort it out. and dont try to do 1000 things at once.

Step 1: remove the plug from the unit

                      Step 2: open window

Step 3: discard computer through open window

Step 4: retrieve computer from bush/tree/flowerbed

Step 5: reconnect computer to electricity

                      Step 6: you win!

Take it off scratch master mode. wikkie wikiie wikkie My attempt at scratching of course.

Yeah bro go with winamp that'd be my advice Not sure what going on because it's not happening all the time right?

Is there anyother media running in the browser or trying to run inside one of your browsers? That's another reason to get rid of media player. My guess is wimamp will fix this problem.

Probably best. About the virtual memory... setting it high isn't exactly good because then windows has to write and rewrite all the time. what you shoudl do is to multiple the amount of ram you have by 2.5. for example if you have 256MB then set the virtual memory to 640MB BOTH MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM. what this does is prevent windows from writing and deleting to change the page file size (virtual memory file). get it??? give it a try, it might work out for you.
