I have converted to mp3. Dave mentions in some parts the low end is too hot, which causes distortion. If anyone can do some magic to the audio & repost, would be great. -
Here's my attempt, using "Clip Fix" effect in Audacity with default setting 95% theshold with -9.0(dB) reduced amplitude. Given how badly clipping the source is, I didn't expect much, but in my ears there's a difference at least.

Yes, I think max420 summed it up perfectly.thats alot of clipping but probably mostly under what you can hear but you hear the rumbles of the frequences that you can audibly hear. If you played it on a system that could handle the low end rumble probably sound goldComment

Thanks psybangas.
Question regarding the clipping, is that a result of Dave & Anthony having their levels all wrong on the mixer, or a recording issue?Comment

I would say the mic used to record wasn't able to handle those high-output frequencies from the club system. Either way, it’s definitely a hardware bottleneck rather than user error—Pappa and Seamen are far too pro to overdrive the mixer. The LED's would have been redlining something serious on the mixer and Pappa’s not the type to miss something that obvious, especially being sober.Comment

Right, thanks for the explanation.
Listened to a 90 minute section yesterday, definitely improved from the original file. Thanks again.Comment
