        It seems there is an endemic plague sweeping societies and they would rather ingest trivial t.v. than open their minds with information or thought provoking disscussion .
        But be warned ppl America starts these trends .. but it seems the rest of us start to follow them

            Expanding on what you're saying -- I read somewhere that the LA Times is going to increase stories about celebrities and decrease stories about serious news to combat decreasing circulation. Supposedly, US Weekly and People Magazine circulations are at all time highs.
