Formerly the opening DJ for S&D, he has now become a sad shell of a DJ. As the transition DJ for Lee Burridge on saturday - after a wicked set by BK - he cleared the floor with such gems as the beatle's rocket man (huh? even a year ago it sux'd!) and a tears for fears remix of shout (who bothered to remix this track anyway?). he cut the energy level in half and i felt like i was wading through molasses.
Take me on a rocket ride....
We talking about Brett King right? Bummer to see all the energy Brett build up fall flat on its face when Van M hit the decks...
when JVM's tag-teaming he does kind of kill the mood for the first few swaps... got it together as the night went on the few times i've seen him though.
I was at Spundae watching him trainwreck as well.... ::sigh:: what can you do. As for Lee!!! HE TORE IT UP HARDCORE!!!!!!!!!! Lee's the sh!t, not onlt that but the next day on the boat party he still ripped up even with the boat rocking back and forth skipping through the tracks a little. Boo for Van M, yay for Burridge!!!!!!
Jimmy seems like he's in a slump. I enjoyed his Bedrock CD compilation, but it seems he's lost his momentum. Does he still play out with Sasha or Diggers?
was there a falling out?
seems strange in how his chart is trending down...
there was no falling out... and yes he does still play with them. i believe he's busy working behind the scenes though.
he is a business man first and foremost. and he does a lot of business for sasha and john.
His recent sets are amazing. i love Jimmy. his Bedrock cd is a killer and his opening sets for S&D are famous. Maybe he is going through a slump, it happens to the best of us. I will still respect him. And like Chloe said, he is a business man first. And he looks pretty busy with that, so that might be a reason why he is not as "up to it" as he once was.
