Mike Sieben - Zoloft Noloft - Ableton Mix

This is something I put on hold to do Guest Mixes for Yao and Steve James and I am just now putting up on MS. I spent a month battling with myself as to a few tracks and if they were the right fit or not, I have about 4 versions of it, this is the last one.... but maybe I'll post another one day...

Anyway, it was the last mix I did while living in my now former midtown Manhattan loft, hence the name....

Mike your mix is good, keeps me interested and enjoy the flow. I suppose it follows a proggy-house theme and delivers very well.

Hope the zoloft keeps the edges smooth and proggy! Thanks for sharing the set.

no prob, thanks... Yeah I agree about following the theme of prog in this one, it was sort of subconcious at first and then blatant I think

Hey Mike, BIG GIANT THANKS for helping me get that Me and Madonna track. That thing is sick. I love it.

I'll definitely be checking out your new mix. Next time do a hydrid mix with your cd players and ableton. That way we can hear you mess up once in a while. LOL. ;-)

which one did you get, as I just went to an M-Audio clinic tuesday and it was sweet. The guy was talking about the new controllers, and I asked him when they were going to come out with maven, he said there has been a lot of pressure to make it but he'd tell his bosses. You never know. Maybe next years NAMM you'll hear about it.

I am using the M-audio X-session. Its really simple but perfectly laid out in my opinon.

cool. the ozone controller is also one that people could use to do dj sets with ableton, you can even use the joystick in it to use as a crossfader.

I am not a big crossfader-junkie.... I just have issues with it for some reason.

I know Mike, so am I and most of the other dj's on this board. I just am now getting into using live and just bought 4 yesterday and have been RTFM. And can't wait to get into it and get back to producing.

I was just looking at different things that could possibly control live in somewhat the same way as Maven does for Sasha.
