I enjoyed her Hung Up song which is the first Madonna song I've enjoyed in a long time. Also I recognize the sample she used from Abba's "Gimme Gimme Gimme" in that tracky.

I don't dig the Kaballah stuff much either yet it's becoming a new trendy celeb religion just like Scientology.

Re: High praise for Madonna's new album...

this first new single is good, listened to the rest of the album expecting something fresh... boy was I disapointed. I mean I've never been a huge fan or anything like that, but some of the stuff she released was influential to the rest of the music, specifically dance community of the world. but this new album is a piece of crap, the lyrics are crap: paraphrasing; "I love NY, forget Paris and London they are crap, NY is the onyl place I ever loved" uhmm and in a similar context through out the rest of the album, even the lyrics on Hung Up are crap, the video is even worse... I mean it's catchy and is going to get a lot of play at the clubs I am sure... but come on... seems like she is just bored out of her mind, and it does not feel like she even tryed to do anything new with this album... watched her interview on MMM in Canada and she seems to wanna bring back dance music back to the main stream or something along those lines... yeah good luck with the crap that her new album is... same old basslines, resamples nothing new and inovative... i mean I know producers can you incredible things with old samples, but this album is just crap, although i will admit there are 1 or 2 more cathchy tunes on this album, still it feels like she just released the album to make money rather than bring anything new and innovative to the so called "dance" scene...

i dont really consider madonna a great producer, i like the ray of light remix digweed played on the beirut set last year but the original version of the track i dont like, it's like the remix is another track with little influence from the ray of light track performed by madonna

I finally crawled out from the rock under which I live and heard Hung Up (on the VH1 Top 20 Countdown of all places ^1,000,000) and am really impressed. Great great track, awesome break down/build up. Really cool vid too.

As for why I was watching VH1 Top 20... well, what had happened was I feel asleep and Tivo likes to change the channel some times, and I woke up and it was on, and... and... well how about that Madonna track?!
          Beats are my crack.

Have you ever seen him there in Canada?
Yeah, i've seen Sasha here 3 times in Canada already, can't wait for him to come back... The best show of them all was at this small club in Calgary with maybe 200 people, it was such an intimate party and he was nothing but smiles and dances the whole time.

My dream is to go watch him perform at a huge club in the UK- that would be fcuking sweet.

Sounds excellent, i once caught Sasha at a small club here in Bristol in 98 called the Powerhouse, only about 200-250 people in there but the intimate vibe was amazing, nothing quite like Sasha at Fabric though

btw, if this is your second messageboard addiction, may i ask where your first is?

Listening to the new album now. Not too shabby. I'm grooving to it, but it could be because of the beer.
