bill o reilly is the man.(not really, but he is cool here)

i love this clip. particulaly at the end when he says the neo cons refuse to come on his show and he hates all politicians. most of us know he a bit of a hard liner right winger, but actually shows a bit of promise here.

    That was fucking hilarious

But I only see the promise that he's even more hardliner than those politicians he's criticizing...O'Reilly is truly extreme is his views mate. What he's basically saying, is that he's a more pure thinker when it comes to those right-wing views, and that he's actually in it purely to defend and spread his ideology, as opposed to those who are in it for the money.

Maybe that is even more dangerous.

And someone should seriously tell this guy someday that it was the French who made sure that the US isn't still a British colony or protectorate. Seriously.

I absolutely love the way that him & Jon Stewart play off each other in that clip. Totally antagonisitc, but you can tell that they are both totally enjoying it. Somebody please give these two guys their own Crossfire-like show.

dont give stewart a politics show. he alread ruined one show. kilborne and A.W.Browne must be crying that thier creation has been destroyed by stewart. the show was once funny. he is a comedian who thinks he knows politics, o'reilly is an asshole who thinks he knows politics.

That piece I saw with that guy whose father died in the 9/11 attacks was enough for me. Add his remarks in this clip to it, then even when feeding me a lot of other quotes it will be hard to convince me otherwise. However, if you can show me a bunch of links with quotes, interviews, anything about the man that might give me a more complete image of him, please post them and I will certainly give them a good read dude...

Or even one where i can see the whole show, something like a show archive? Cos i'm mighty interested.

he is an actor nothing more, so many reports that off screen he is quite normal and calm. they all say he turns it on for the camera, which i dont blame him for, he is paid to get ratings off dumb people. if we educated our youth they would ignore him.

Well, I don't know if he is so normal out of the camara.. Last year a Fox News Channel producer sued Bill O'Reilly for sexual harassment, alleging that Bill pressured her into phone sex, I'am not really sure how that ended...

Exactly - which is why a show with the two of them would rock. I don't claim that it would be a legitimate political assessment since both would essentially be worrying first about humor/shock/viewers than actually analyzing a situation (or guest), but it would make for more than a few laughs. Perfect for Comedy Central.

And personally, I find the current Daily show - even with Stewart - funny as hell. Newsworthy? Probably not. But that's not why I watch the show. If I want a truly unbiased and complete new source, there is always Foxnews or The Guardian.

oh god no. maybe your age reflects what you missed with kilborne and browne on the original daily show, but this one is nowhere near as funny. not even within a mile.

If the age listed next to you name is correct, I've got 2 on you....you damn youngin'. The first year and a half I watched it was with Killborn, and I was absolutely crushed when he left (especially since I was no fan of Stewart at the time). It took Stewart a year or two to really grow into the role (I could hardly watch him in the beginning), but for me the show is every bit as funny now as it was with Killborn. Killborn had the whole dickhead appeal, Stewart is random & quirky in a hilarious way. Both crack me up. I don't know if Stewart is necessarily better than Killborn, but his longevity definitely says something.

Admittedly, the earlier correspondents were fucking hiliarious and had more personality than a lot of the short-lived ones since then (what happened to them all anyways?), but the show still makes me laugh as much as it did in the beginning (and these days I'm not usually watching it stoned ).

I enjoy watching the O'Reilly factor just to see people chewed up and spit out. Is that wrong?

I actually enjoy O'Reilly and don't think he's near as biased as Rush or Coulter, but if you think for a moment that O'Reilly isn't still a pure talking head for the right, I've got some beachfront property here in Missouri I'd like to sell you. Also, the neo cons do not refuse to come on his show. They just don't. I've seen them on his show, FFS.

I personally love Stewart on the Daily Show. There are some out there that allow the Daily Show to substitute for actual news, and that's prolly not a great idea. If you're a person that already knows what's going on in the world, though, it's hysterical to see TDS's take on current events. My opinion.
