I love the 80's. Ive been collecting the records for a long time now and have many extended 12", dance remixes.
Some of my all time favorites I've been fortunate of getting my grubby mits on are:
Duran Duran - Planet Earth (Club mix)
Soft Cell - Its a Mugs Game
Tones on Tail - Go! (Club Mix) red vinyl
When in Rome - The Promise (O.N. mix)
James - Lose control (Extended version)
Madonna - Everybody (Extended dance mix)
Naked Eyes - Promises, Promises (Extended version)
Pet Shop Boys - West End Girls
A-Ha - Take On Me
Tears for Fears - Everybody Wants To Rule The World
INXS - I Need You Tonight
Simple Minds - Don't You (Forget About Me) aka The Breakfast Club theme song
A flock of Seagulls - Telecommunication and Wishing
Blancmange - Dont tell me (Dance remix)
Corey Heart - Sunglasses at night
Golden Earing - Twilight Zone
Lightning Seeds - Pure
Bronski Beat - Smalltown boy (fag song, but really cool)
Ministry - Work for love
Love the 80s songs. Here's a few of my favorites I've been listening too recently:
When In Rome - The Promise
Secession - The Magician
Cetu Javu - Situations and Have In Mind
Heaven 17 - Let Me Go
Peter Murphy - Cuts You Up
The Smiths - How Soon Is Now?
The Bolshoi - A Way
Bands like New Order, INXS, The Cure, Duran Duran, Depeche Mode.
Never interrupt your enemy when he's making a mistake - Napoleon Bonaparte
no good was on ultra, which came out in (i believe) 1997.
damn. that is right. well it feels 80's. lol. i have a dump of DM songs, and was listening to it this morning, so i just tossed it in there. but DM is 80's ... so there.
For those who don't know there's a compilation I picked up a few months back at the Virgin store in San Francisco titled 12"/80s and 12"/80s/2. Both comps have 3 cd's each and some great remixes from Echo and the Bunnymen, Pet Shop Boys, Aztec Camera, Talk Talk, Tom Tom Club, ABC etc..... I think they're around $30 bucks for each compilation... Not sure if there's a 3rd one out yet but I greatly enjoy the first two.
