    web/internet experts | et al

the domain I want to purchase is in "registrar lock" and is set to expire on Nov 27th
Let our consulting producers connect you with the best writers, directors, producers, and production companies in the world.

its so stale and over ten years old.... and I want it.

    my questions are:
how can I get this domain before someone else?
and how exactly does backordering work? any hot tips from any of you cyber squatters? I can't really find anyone that knows a lot about this so I figured I'd ask here.

there are services you can pay for big P to get that domain. You may also contact the person/company and see if they will release it to you. Either way it is all chance, some have auto re-newal and just hold the domain and others sell it on ebay for 1000's.

Yeah, chance, thats what I'm afraid of...... I need to seal this deal asap. I guess I'm just going to backorder it and see what happens.

The registar I use, claimed.com has domain "backordering" which would be exactly what you are looking for.

                      Middle option:
"They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security." -Benjamin Franklin

                        Thanks man.

I've been looking through all the backordering and actually registered to have it backordered. However in all the reading it doesn't really say what the precedings are after a domain expires.
