[DOWNLOADS] Sean McClellan (KVK), Mirel Jarca

Thanks for all of the feedback, it's much appreciated. Sean McClellan should be a name that's familiar to all of you. Sean is 1/2 of the production team KVK alongside Gordon Carpenter, which has seen releases on Bedrock and Gravitation Records. They also have had their tracks appear on Balance 006 mixed by Anthony Pappa and the recently released Layered Sounds 2 from Bedrock, mixed by John Digweed. Sean recently returned from a trip over to the UK where he played alongside Jimmy Van M, Andy Newland, and Mark Santangelo and helped destroy 'Audio Deluxe' at the Battersea Barge in London. In addition to being a superb technical DJ and amazing producer, Sean is one of the nicest guys I've met. Plans are in the works to bring him down to Orlando for one of our mercurysessions nights so those of you in the area can see firsthand, Sean's amazing talent. Everyone interested in booking Sean can reach him at djseanmclellan@yahoo.com. Thanks for sharing this set with us Sean!

Next up we have Mirel Jarca who is no stranger to us here at [ms]. Known for his darker than dark progressive sets, Mirel has delivered a couple of treats that will be shared over the next couple of weeks. If you've missed out on grabbing his sets in the past or you're new here, do youself a favor and make it a point to download this one.

    Sean McClellan (KVK)
    http://www.bedrock.uk.net/biogs.asp?djid=121

Sean McClellan is no stranger in the progressive house scene; he has been playing out all over the southeast for the last 8 years. Sean is known for his eclectic mixing, long overlays and devastating bass lines; with a style that is all his own.

Sean was part of Progressive Collective, which first brought worldwide progressive talent to Charlotte. He has spun with some of the largest DJs in the industry including Jimmy Van, Chris Fortier, Lee Burridge, Cass, Anthony Pappa, MARA, Bill Hamel, and Evolution to name a few and has always impressed. Cass gave him the ultimate compliment by stating he would tag team with Sean before he played his actual set in May of 2001 and not to worry about bringing in any other DJs. Sean has played in Atlanta, Charlotte, Raleigh, Chapel Hill, and Columbia and is now pushing his skills with two turntables to a worldwide audience with his first International compilation for Source of Gravity - UK. With his Technical series of compilations he has showcased his unique style of progressive house music to a worldwide audience on Proton Radio, with great accolades.

Sean has also teamed up with US Producer Gordon Carpenter to create KVK, a production group that is already getting international notoriety; with their first release 'Deep Isolation' on Gravitation Records and their follow up release 'Reality Theory' on Bedrock Breaks.

    Discography:
4th Orbit - Deep Isolation [Gravitation]
Reality Theory / Blissterd [Bedrock Breaks]
Turn That / Break That [Vinyl Vice]
    Hidden Truth EP [Gravitation]

    Remixes:
    Orchid - Technicolour [Silver Planet]
Dario EF - Conservation [Sentient Audio Collective]
    Hellpass - Spins [Vinyl Vice]
Habersham - Hey You [EDM Digital / Beatport]

    Compilations:
    Anthony Pappa - Balance 006
    Bedrock - Layered Sounds 2

    Mirel Jarca
Mirel Jarca was born in Galati, Romania in 1977. He has been fascinated by music since early childhood. His first attempts as a DJ were back in 1999, when he was asked to replace a sick friend, who was residing at the club during that time. Mirel became immediately addicted to playing the crowd and went looking out for more. His efforts resulted in his first residency at 'The Hole Club' in 2001. Later on he moved to the infamous 'Mon Caprice Club', where he became a well known icon for the local Romanian underground scene. At the moment he's residing weekly at 'The Cave Club'.

Mirel has his own unique sound, using a blend of breakbeat, progressive house and techhouse tracks. Lately he's discovering new directions, resulting in progressive / psychodelic influences in his work. Mirel has also started producing on his own, using the Reason software platform. If you love underground sounds, be sure to check him out live some time in one of the clubs. (Background and Bio thanks to DigitalCrew)

Re: [DOWNLOADS] Sean McClellan (KVK), Mirel Jarca

Took me a little while to get into Mirel's set but now it's really starting to take off (40:00 there abouts - heavy on the drums with a spooky female vocal floating about). He's definitely got a distinct style all his own, not something I could listen to all day every day but his mixes always make for a good trip.

Big fan of McClellan's entry, kept me going from start to finish. Nice selection of tracks and some quality programming made the set fly right by. Will be on the lookout for more stuff from KVK after listening to this one.
