Sirius and XM electronic music opinions????

I'm thinking about getting one of these around the new year. Are the electronic music channels on either any good? I can't imagine there is much prog house or solid deep house.
May get XM just for Opie and Anthony - I like them better than Stern, but the main motivation is for the electronica. Should I just save my $??????

Lots of deep house and housey house. And loads of epic trance. Occasionally i'll pick up something i enjoy, an essential mix here and there, but for the most part, i don't listen to the dance stations that much. Deeper Grooves on 80 is laid back groovy house, i dig that. Nothing groundbreaking happening tho.

If i want to listen to dance music, i've got loads of cds, or the dell. I listen to satellite radio for the talk stuff. comedy, news, sports, etc. Killer old school rap stations tho if you're into that.

sirius is basically the same way. Some good stuff, but don't get it just because you think it's going to be a great way to hear great EDM.

With that said, I love my sirius radio. Regular radio just seems silly by comparison.

It is very rare that anything good is played on XM. Every once in a while you may get a track off of Airdrawndagger or a Greg Benz track but not too often. If I were you I'd save my money!

I have XM and love it. The dance music stations are better than anything you'll find on regular radio. They also play the Essential Mixes every Friday evening. Opie and Anthony are funny as hell. I haven't tried Serius so I can't comment.

I have XM. I really like it. You can hear the EMs not to mention they have Thump Funk on there for all you Breakbeats lovers. XM has a mixture of genres, but it's pretty much dominated by House.

A friend of mine has XM in his car and home and we always seem to find some good house sets on. The Essential Mixes are always cool, and they play SAW Radio. A couple months ago they played a set that Satoshi spun here in Jacksonville last year. That was cool to hear.

All of that said, I'm going to get Sirius. Howard + Hard Attack (their metal channel ...XM cancelled there's) = me getting it. The only real thing I will regret not having is Fox Sports Radio, but I can still catch that on local AM radio. I could just do without all the local crap.

instead of paying $15/mo on satellite radio, spend $15/mo on CDs and listen to every set in memebr sets & recommendations. you can filter what you listen to, it's something new every time, and if you like it you already have a copy of it. it's been working for me for years
