he can't dj and yet continously tries to. he clears floors and yet goes out the next night and gets behind the decks again. he's a WANKER.

i really love unkle and all lavelles stuff, he has put out 2 superb Unkle albums, runs a great record label, put out one of the best GU's ever, and one with some dodgy mixing granted.

he is a party dj, he plays alot of stuff at different tempos meaning that he can't beatmatch it all

And to people you say that he should'nt even bother trying to dj, the man gets offered massive amounts of money to dj all over the world, what would you do? He has rocked every dance floor that i have ever seem him play too, the only ones leaving the floor are the trainspotters, and wanna be's that are complaining that all his tracks are'nt beatmatched perfectly becuase he is playing a wide variety of stuff.

i love UNKLE cd's but you do have to give DJ shadow some credit. Barcelona was a change for GU but it wasn't a bad compilation. seen him live and had no complaints. i wouldn't say there is a stigma there?

LOL. I am just repeating the exact same comments Day4night said to me when he called me out yesterday because of my negative criticism to osamu change in musical tastes.....

Funny how he thinks its kool to rip djs but seemes to say its not ok for me....seems like a hyprocrite to me...

funny things is alot of my comments are very positive. i just speek from my heart when it comes to music.

I think as with a lot of the top dj's, they are good enough producers to get booked all over.. some of them, as with Lavelle (so i have heard, i have never seen him live nor have i heard a mix) are not good dj's at all.. but get over on their production skills.

at least Lavell with UNKLE has put out some food tracks.. i'd rather him get booked than tommy the tool lee and the rest of the non dj's out there getting gigs.

agreed....actually i have a few Unkle mixes..the tai mix specifically that is really quite good...not sure why everyone hates lavells so much...i mean i know he sux as a dj cuz i saw him play at wmc this year but seems like he decent with unkle and also his production work is decent.
