This month?s guest is the owner of the excellent german label Connaisseur Recordings: Alex Flitsch

The first release from this label by Patrick Chardronnet was simply great - included in my last dj-mix.

I really like Alex?s style and I?m pretty sure we can expect a great selection into this new session!



For Alex Flitsch, music is an obsession. For more than 15 years, the label owner of Connaisseur Recordings has been firmly rooted in the electronic music scene. Coming from Pforzheim, a small city close to Stuttgart in the south of Germany, the studied advertiser has been working as DJ since 1994 and is an enthusiastic collector.
Alex, originating from the Afrilounge collective, has long had the desire to start an own label. The final trigger was the circumstance that 3 acts from his closest circle of friends, Patrick Chardronnet, Markus M?ller and Afrilounge, were shining with first class releases on well-known labels.
Living in Frankfurt by choice, Alex has found his destiny in the role of the impresario.

FERNANDA D?AZ at DER SCHALL

Ok fellas... the next der Schall episode is going to be wicked!

As if it wasn't enough that we have Alex for our next show, I was also able to convince an excellent dj from Chili: Fernanda D?az, who now resides in Barcelona, to do a 2 hour set that is gonna make you shit your pants!



Fernanda D?az is one of those dj?s that surprises you with her natural talent for mixing. Her dj career started 4 years ago in Santiago de Chile, when her best friend Dj Luke Santos (check www.djlukesantos.com) noticed this talent and decided to teach her how to mix, changing her life forever. After 6 months Fernanda had already played at all of Chile?s most important venues. And after a year she was living in Ibiza, and had already played in Pach? and Space..!

Fernanda has been living in Barcelona now for almost 3 years and during this time she has been able to consolidate a strong position as a dj in the local scene being considered one the city?s most important figures.

Having played at all of the most important venues in town (Loft, Fellini, La Terrazza, City Hall, Otto Zutz, Macarena, Pacha, CDLC to name only few), Fernanda has made herself a well-known and highly sought after dj. Her regularity es a guest dj at Barcelona?s most important clubs has given her the chance to show the best of her powerful sound that can be defined as electronic/minimal house, mixed with electro and minimal techno.

Since March 2005 she is organizing her own party, Poker Club at Club Fellini which is starting to become one of the best Thursday night parties of Barcelona, featuring live electronic sets.

With her studio totally set up and functioning at home, Fernanda is working hard on finally releasing her own musical production...
