Royce Haven (groovanauts | emcdc.com | pulse, dc):

Royce, a native of New York, grew up listening to many different genres of music. From the synth-driven sounds of the 80's to the growing movement of Hip-Hop, music has always been a friend. Royce was introduced to house music in 1989, when he moved to Washington D.C. He instantly fell in love with the diverse sounds of electronic dance music. He soon after purchased his first set of turntables and started mixing records.

Since 1989, his style has evolved considerably. A firm believer in having an original style,It is no wonder, then, why internationally recognized DJ's such as Dr. Kucho and Barry Gilbey have expressed their personal preference to play with Royce amidst of sea of less worthy contemporaries.

Royce has kept very busy over the past few years with his live DJ sets. Whether in the spotlight as a head-resident at the Internationally renown PULSE in Washington D.C.,slamming it down at the Rise in Boston, playing on the regular at Sulliven Room N.Y., or maintaining his other residency at Dragonfly D.C., Royce has no shortage of appearances, along the East Coast of the United States.

Working closely, with EMC counterparts Mike Haddad & Alex Haje as well as Pulse founder J-Punch, Royce has proved elemental in promoting and developing a successful and healthy House Music Scene in Washington, D.C. His concerted efforts have not gone unrecognized. As a result of his hard work, and consistent dedication to the local scene, Royce has had the privilege of playing along side some of his most admired and respected peers; including everyone from Deep Dish, Nic Fancuilli, Barry Gilbey, Max Graham, Dr. Kucho! and Luke Fair.

While the future is always unknown, one thing is certain; great sets and production releases lie dead ahead for Royce Haven. Catch him while you can.

    Andrew Vogt (Shelter | RetoxNYC):

Andrew Vogt's love of electronic music started in the same place most people's did, the rave scene. Living in New Jersey in the late 90's, Andrew began attending parties on a regular basis and quickly moved on to DJing at them. Under the name Dreas, his sets of house, progressive, and breaks got him recognized as one of the most talented DJs in the NJ scene. As he got older he realized the existence of the Chelsea super club,Twilo. His total idea of music and DJing was flipped upside down by listening to such DJs as Sasha, John Digweed, Jimmy Van M, and Dave Seaman, just to name few. Soon after its closure, he was forced to give up DJing and move on to another Career.

Three years later in September of 2004, Andrew's love of electronic dance music proves to be too strong. He quit his job, sold his car, and moved to New York to once again pursue his Djing and Production work. Since his return he has played with such DJs as Steve Porter, Astro & Glyde, and Lance Jordan. His sounds of Tech-House, Electro, and Prog-House also got him chosen as the Bi-weekly resident DJ at the Smokin Saturdays Roof party at club Shelter. He also was recently signed to Insomnia Bookings with some of NYs most talented artists. He is currently working on his production and will be releasing his first couple tracks in Fall 2005.

Dany Veltri (groovanauts | Sullivan Room):

Dany Veltri will always consider himself a fan of the music above anything else. His earliest experiences in EDM came in the form of The Smiths, Erasure, New Order and Alphaville. After a brief and unsuccessful stint as a hippy - "I had the hippy fro? going, but not much else" - Dany found himself back inside the clubs soaking in as much music as he possibly could. A few years later, inspired by such artists as Paul van Dyk, The Chemical Brothers, Sasha and Steve Lawler, he decided to give DJ?ing a shot. His style is a thumping blend of electro, trance and progressive house music that ranges from the funky and uplifting to the evil and wicked.

Dany has spent 2005 playing with the likes of Steve Gerrard, Ben Lost, Pole Folder, Second Sun, Noel Sanger, Madoka and Paolo Mojo at venues such as Remote NYC, Club Seho, Shelter, Table 50 and continues his monthly residency at Sullivan Room.
