Re:: The Board 'Hybridized.org' is trying to hack into my ma
I was thinking about switching over to MOZILLA. I will give it a try. Will let you know. Thanks for the good feedback.
I really appreciate the router and 'ip' tips. Changing all that may be the more secure way to get them off my back. I wish hackers and the people who make the viruses would be federally prosecuted with such a strict penalty that they would think twice about doing it. The recognition they gain from it would not be worth the risk of a life in prison getting a butt full.
Any other ideas appreciated.Comment

Same happened to me. I was on the Label: Sunkissed/Teknology forum when it happened. Numerous pop-ups... couldn't do anything.
It's just a bunch of spy and adware sh!t. Get yourself some good blockers and anti spy and adware programs.... AVG is pretty good, forgot what else I have.
If all else fails, save and reformat.
I'm probably going to do that to my pc this weekend.
It's really fvcking annoying!Comment

as was previously mentioned:
1. f*** macs
2. get linux
3. if not, at least use mozilla firefox instead of IE
4. as a moderator at hybridized.org myself, i can assure you no hacking or other malicious attempts are knowingly being made from that site
5. zone alarm or black ice defender are good firewalls
p.s. symantec/norton sucksComment

Linux is cool and all...just not for me.
What are some reasons why "Macs suck?" other than the typical knee jerk reaction?
If anything it's better than windows...right? They (Microsoft) have 56 billion dollars CASH and i'm puzzled why they can't lock down an OS? What the hell is going on here? They have the financial resources to employ the best talent out there, but I guess why bother? consumers are getting scammed, but they're sheep...and sheep get slaughtered.
Yet they say "Macs Suck."Comment

Re:: The Board 'Hybridized.org' is trying to hack into my ma
Again, thanks to you all giving me some tips. I appreciate it alot.
Yeah, I ran the SPYBOT and it has removed a bunch sometime ago, I recently ran another one ADAWARE and it found a bunch more which spybot didnt locate.
First, let me say, HYBRIDIZED.ORG admin folks, I don't think your trying to hack me, but something from your site IP (I want give the IP# here, but can in another mode if you like) is hitting me every 2-3 minutes. The IP address is present in my list and the domain name. You may not even know your site is doing this.
But here is the strange catch. Follow me ...
I havent gone to the HYBRIDIZED.ORG site in about a week probably, but I did visit a bunch of music sites ... including BIJOUBREAKS (where I noticed a connection here in this thread) and I downloaded the 'Vaz - Annie on One' mix set. Listened to it briefly, then went back to the site and registered, visited the forum, but while I was there I had a little pop up window come up which said ... "Error - do you want to debug - yes / no "
I clicked no and left the site. Here is the catch, the last time I got one of those on another site, I few minutes later my virusscan popped up a window which said it had just cleaned a trojan from my harddrive. I researched the trojan type and it was one which somehow works with popup window spoofs.
WILD, HUH!
I don't know if there is a connection, but I would NOT brush it off lightly. If the HYBRIDIZED and BIJOUBREAKS sites have any common links they need to check the servers for a worm/virus, because this crap along with 8-10 other IP addresses are wacking my firewall constantly now thanks to my surfing the other night.
I not joking about all of this! I ran my virusscan and it didn't find anything by the way. I'm spending time on this because I think it might help someone else. Let me know what you think.Comment

Re:: The Board 'Hybridized.org' is trying to hack into my ma
I just came back here to post another note on a site which my virus scan warns me of spyware. I searched around this site the other day, just as I was there again tonight. I found this link on eccentricbeats.com site.
Clubradio is not a very appealing site, and has alot of bouncy ads, maybe another tip of adware being loaded into our machines. What pisses me off about all this is the direct link through my router to backdoors in Internet Explorer. I will try Mozilla as was suggested, but I have so many bookmarks in IE, I hate to make the change.
When I visit the below link, I get a little icon placed on my bottom toolbar by the virus scan to warn me of tracking cookies, spyware or others. Like I mentioned, I now have about 10 different IP addresses attempting to enter my machine through many different ports and they are blocked by my firewall and recorded for me to see the history.
Enough info already.

What the hell. I can tell some are curious about this and some don't believe it. So here is a copy of my firewall activity for about 3 minutes.
Below was copied from the firewall and pasted here. I don't know how well it will line up, but try and see it for yourself.
