Re:: Cue sheets with Nero 6

i'm having real problems burning cd images in nero 6.

i go the recorder menu, choose to burn cd image, and select the cue sheet i want, but when i go to open it, nero either crashes, or gives me a line 3 error message and tells me there was an error opening the file.

here is the cuesheet i made:

      TITLE "Deltasounds vol.1"
      PERFORMER "D Flow"
      FILE "D Flow Deltasounds volume 1.mp3" MP3
      TRACK 01 AUDIO
      TITLE ""
      INDEX 01 00:00:00
      TRACK 02 AUDIO
      TITLE ""
      INDEX 01 08:28:00
      TRACK 03 AUDIO
      TITLE ""
      INDEX 01 14:20:00
      TRACK 04 AUDIO
      TITLE ""
      INDEX 01 21:24:00
      TRACK 05 AUDIO
      TITLE ""
      INDEX 01 27:14:00
      TRACK 06 AUDIO
      TITLE ""
      INDEX 01 32:22:00
      TRACK 07 AUDIO
      TITLE ""
      INDEX 01 38:42:00
      TRACK 08 AUDIO
      TITLE ""
      INDEX 01 43:18:00
      TRACK 09 AUDIO
      TITLE ""
      INDEX 01 48:36:00
      TRACK 10 AUDIO
      TITLE ""
      INDEX 01 54:51:00
      TRACK 11 AUDIO
      TITLE ""
      INDEX 01 60:20:00
      TRACK 12 AUDIO
      TITLE ""
      INDEX 01 65:03:00
      TRACK 13 AUDIO
      TITLE ""
      INDEX 01 68:51:00

i don't understand whats wrong with it - the filename is definitely correct and the mp3 is in the same folder.

any help would be very much appreciated!!

double-check the name of your filename on the third line. it must match exactly.

also try switching the position of the Performer line with the Title line.

I'm also having problems burning an audio cd with an mp3 file and cue sheet with Nero 6 and Windows XP. Everything went fine with previous versions of Nero. Now it just freezes when I try to do this. It probably does have something to do with the text layout of the cue sheet and this weekend my goal is to figure out what the hell it is. I'll post back if I find out anything useful.

Ok, here's what I've learned through pure trial and error: Nero 6 (the version I have, anyway) does NOT support burning audio cds with a cue sheet that references an MP3 file. You must first convert your MP3 file to WAV format using Winamp or your program of choice and adjust your cue sheet text as follows:

                TITLE "Deltasounds vol.1"
                PERFORMER "D Flow"
FILE "D Flow Deltasounds volume 1.wav" WAVE
                TRACK 01 AUDIO
                TITLE ""
                INDEX 01 00:00:00
                TRACK 02 AUDIO
                TITLE ""
                INDEX 01 08:28:00
                TRACK 03 AUDIO
                TITLE ""
                INDEX 01 14:20:00
                TRACK 04 AUDIO

Nero 6 worked like a charm after I made these changes. I hope that helps you peeps that have been having trouble like I have with these damn cue sheet files.

                    Hi there,
I used to have the same probs, posted the same questions but the think iz that even when you have understand and appreciated the whole procedure then you ll see that splittin' files thru Nero is very slow. So there is the answer to your prob. Musicutter software. It;s so simple and so fast that you dont even have to worrie about splittin files nomore. Try to find and you'll see

I use Nero 6 and burn MP3 files with cues all the time. If he gets an error in line three which is the filename, I bet the filename of the MP3 file and the name of the set in line three do not match 100%. It's no rocket science. Is the MP3 file on your harddrive really called "D Flow Deltasounds volume 1", gregga?

i must admit, i have had the freezing problem. I even used a cue sheet that i had asked for help upon from ms. It is a pain in the arse. Another silly question but what is winamp? do i have to download it?

i used to have the same pb

but, I strongly recommend to cut your set wiht music cutter (http://musicutter.host.sk/) first and after that to burn it on cd. Don't forget to specify : no pause between tracks
For me now it's much easier , musicutter gives no shit about line 3 or file name and he's very fast
And, Nero it's burning the tunes faster try it

this may be stating the obvious, but i need to download musiCutter, split the mp3 into its different parts, and then burn it as usual in nero. i have had problems before with the cd sounding as if it is jumping when playing. Will this be avoided burning this way?
