they would need the unit to download the track and stretch the mp3 file somehow to be able to adjust the tempo. probably have one to do that soon. it's a gimick, but wedding dj/emcees who play 'ymca' and 'celebrate' will love being able to pack that little thing and a couple of ipods.

Hawtin was in an article in Wired I think it was a year or so ago talking about how he'd like to incorporate ipods into his sets. But he said they'd have to get a pitch control so that you could beatmatch. I guess they took what he was talking about and made a mixer for them...but there still is no way to beatmatch the ipods. Maybe in a year or two there will be software that will do that.
There you go. My patent for a software device that can make an Ipod's playback vary in speed and theu vary in pitch for each song a person suggests.
