I know it's been a couple of months since the released download of James Zabiela's 4.2 here on [MS], but I just needed to say a few words after giving this incredible copilation of music a good listen!
Now all 5 parts are most definatley top notch work but one set stands out to me more than the rest. Part Zero has been gracing my cars stereo for the past week now. I don't know what it is, I take it out and it finds itself back in again. I myself have been wanting to take my mixes a step further and listening to JZ's Pt zero is taught me much.
Were did this guy come from? I mean, I have been a loyal fan of the greats for years but honestly have not heard a Dj push the boundries of intuitive gear usage like this kid does! Just watching him on Pioneer's demos for the EFX 1000 brings new light to what talent can do!
Trust me, I'm not hung up on JZ, but this set deserves proper acknowledgment. If anyone agrees, feel free to join in the fun. If not, I always love to hear oppinions on matters of truly good music. Also please give any recomendations of other great sets. Remember I'm looking for someone who is pusshing the use of new gear and I'm not just talking Ableton hear (although amazing stuff). Hardware, live use stuff!
Thanks for letting me vent that one! Ken
