I'm having a very difficult time finding good house music these days from record labels that have not turned to that electroish sound. I know this may sound like a trivial question, but are there any record labels still, like Bedrock, that are producing house still more along the progressive side than the electro side? I need help :P

Re: More labels like Bedrock?
that and Little Mountain are still really proggy. FADE is also another PROG label.

Re: More labels like Bedrock?
I've never really dug a lot of the stuff on baroque, the tracks always seemed a bit boring for my tastes. But the Quivver EP is out on that label i believe and it's one of the best ep's to come out in a while.
Choo2 has always got some good stuff available too. MARA, that's a great duo. 1974!!!Comment

Re: More labels like Bedrock?
Sadly I'm no longer a Bedrock fan... I loved that label. However try Vapour, you might like a lot of their releases. You can also just go to 3beat and search for "Dark" if you liked Diggers old sound. That will bring up all the info you need to buy the stuff from your closest record store.Comment

Re: More labels like Bedrock?
^ definitely Vapour, prob best 'prog' label out there at the minute.
I too have gone off Bedrock, the releases aren't as good as they once were IMO.
Also try Choo Choo, Audio TherapyComment

Re: More labels like Bedrock?
yeah, there are other labels, that have the more housey feel to it than Prog, but still has a very slight edge to it. Im more of the warm up groovey set!
check out labels such as:
Plastic City, NRK, Naked Music... it takes a very long time just going through a bunch of crap and then you find something really slamming and unknown. It's great!Comment

Re: More labels like Bedrock?
Toolroom, Vapour and Little Mountain are definitely best "pure prog" labels at the moment
Baroque is great too, agree on "boring stuff" but that counts for 2004/early 2005 (some of it), recent stuff gets just better and better (and that Four Fatties EP is THE best EP of 2005)
EDIT: oh and of course Audio Therapy (Therapy Music) is rocking this entire year (but some of it is also electroish stuff)
Choo Choo stuff is crap at the moment, imowww.djdanijelsavic.tk :: DJ Danijel Savic (Loud) / BiH,SCG

Segment records is trying to stay on the progressive end of things. Watch out for our next digital release DJ Bia Dedication/Dark spiral, proper deep prog!Comment
