FAO anyone who was at the Kansas city delta heavy show

I need to verify something that was said on another board about that show...this guys says, quote:
they (sasha and digweed) were coked up beyond belief and couldn't hold a single mix. must have been the 6 straight nights of shows, or something :-\
now, we all know sasha can fit that description, but i just cant see it from digweed...i have never heard of him being as unprofessional as that. if there is anyone at the show, could you please let me know how they really played?

Full of shit imo. Ive seen Sasha coked up before plenty of times and he never seems to have any problem mixing. 2 years ago in NYC when he played with Diggers, Sasha would go to the back room behind the booth about every 30-40 minutes and you could tell he was all kinds of jacked up. Set was still rockin. they played until 7:30-8am. Really don't think Diggers was hittin the white lady though but you never know......

        Full of shite imo too.

I've seen Diggers looking like he was stoned off his box a few times, but i'm sure that was just jetlag.

        Sasha on the other hand............

Re: FAO anyone who was at the Kansas city delta heavy show

that was the last show in KC I saw before moving away from there. I had seen both of them many times before. now i can't say that i was in the clearest state of mind that night, but it was one of the better sets that I had ever heard from them. I just remember being dissapointed that Jimmy Van M didn't open up for them that night.

that guy has no clue what he's talking about. imo he wasn't there, or he's just another small time loser playin it as the king raver of the midwest. screw him and the board he posts his BS on.

i'd love to link to the other board, but besides talking about music, it also deals with harm reduction (for illegal drugs), which is a no-no here. i'll keep encryption happy and hold off on that...

ohh and thanks daveman, appreciate it.

no prob. it would have been funny to know that Sash & Digs were trashed that night. a local tv news crew showed up that night and did a report on drugs and techno music.

I was there that night as well, with Daveman and another friend, rhanson187. Sasha and Digweed were in great form. No trainwrecks that night from them boys. They can beat match like no other....seems like as soon as the record hits the table, the beats are already matched. Tim Skinner opened for them....I enjoyed his set, had seen Jimmy several other times.

I agree with both of these guys. I was there, and it was one of the best sets I've heard in KC to date. was also bummed that JVM didn't open. He ended up cancelling 3 shows in a row in KC before finally making it to one here.

pickle, just wondering, did you make it out to GoodTimes2000 at the woodlands? seems like forever ago, but definately the greatest thing to ever hit KC imo.

all the screens were hook up to visuals with the sound, and all the little screens and the reflections of them in all the glass windows overlooking the track blew me away.

I know a couplel people (DJ's) who were there and they came back with nothing but good things to say about Sasha and Digweeds performance.

I went to the Delta Heavy show in Dallas which I think was a day or two after the KC show. I thought they were boring as shit (JVM was great BTW) and the acoustics of the Bronco Bowl were terrible, so I left after about an hour. The mixing was top notch though.
