is stick around some kind if slang? what does this mean? if the snow went away or lasted for a while? lol sry...

edit:
dunno if u heared about that overthere, but around my area in the more landish areas more away from the cities the snow went directly into ice, so the whole electricity power cable had 15 times the "diameter" that it normally head, to much weight so they collapsed, around 2 weeks no light no warmth no everything, pretty nasty chaos broke out here lol

lasting, not melting, cold enough for it to be here in snow not rain, etc.
