I'm supprised animal rights activists haven't jumped all over this one.Police later shot the alligator in the head.

its actually because someone was feeding it, you're right. once an alligator does something like that, its the law to kill it because that means they've grown unafraid of us. so, activists can't do shit since its an actual law.

honestly, if someone told me a family member had been torn apart and killed by a gator, i wouldnt believe it....
even though i grew up in FL and it isnt irregular to hear about small children or pets carried off into a pond and drowned.
thats a shitty way to end your life.

I saw this National Geographic thing about this topic a few weeks ago. They simply said that since there is so much construction and all that the animals have nowhere to go..including the gators.
