    Props to U2

I know this is OT as it pertains to EDM, but I've got to give a shout out for U2. Just saw them again in concert last night, and those guys know how to put on a show in a serious way. I can't think of any other "mainstream" group or artist I'd pay what you have to pay to see nowadays. Simply awesome.

Just glad they were able to get their shit together after that Pop/Zooropa phase. They've got their old sound back, and it fucking rocks.

Too bad Paul Hewson went back on everything he said during the 80's and charges fans boat loads of cash for their concerts. I will agree with you about nobody putting on a live show like they can.

Zooroopa is my favorite U2 cd after Joshua Tree. Actually, they're the only two i own.

^ its all about Achtung Baby

That album was a massive risk for them after the slating they got for rattle & Hum

Zooropa aint half bad either.Didnt enjoy Pop or all that you cant leave behind but how to dismantle is excellent

U2 right now is the most popular in world. I have heard there shows are amazing. I would like to go see them live but I refuse to pay 200 dollars to go see a show. This is awful.

love these guy, and yes the best live show on the planet. both the zoo tv and popmart shows blow anything i've seen outta the water. (with maybe the exception of Pink Floyd)

they just played out here on the aniversary of john lennons death and did three great lennon/beatles covers. although the ticket prices do get pretty outrageous its worth every penny to get the feeling and vibe that i have felt at their shows.

They could charge $1000 and would still sell it out.

I suppose you gotta pay top dollar for the best eh?

Not sure why they charge so much though, there must be a reason, considering they are so 'political' and fan conscious - I'd imagine their overheads are high (I know they nearly went bankrupt on Popmart and zoo tv tours)

They're DVD from boston a couple of years ago was fuckin astounding, i still love that. Also C4 (in the UK) played a recent gig too, with a big red circle of a stage, and lights hanging from the ceiling that rolled nations flags down.

great visuals to go with great music. Beats the shit out of all those poncy VJ's who try to freak you out.

oh and i seen the who and bob dylan and eric clapton in hyde park. discuss.
