I do too, maybe because it is what I'm used to, but also it makes logical sense to me, month first just seems logical, or even yr - m - d, would work for me too.

surely you need to have some order in it. Either increasing time scale or decreasing time scale? day / month / year or year / month / day.

Sometimes it is ok tho, when i was in the states my date of birth on my drivers license is 2/6/1981. I was able to drink nearly 4 months early. (Lets not get started on the fact that I had already been legally drinking in the UK for 3 years )

Funny, when I was in my teens, the legal drinking age was 18. I had a fake ID and it was fairly easy to get by in bars, liquor stores, etc.

Now the legal is 21, and though I'm 40, they still ask for the ID. Make sense?

Question, is it still 18 in UK.

You guys have great beer by the way, so much better than the large beer makers in the US, though some smaller outfits are putting out some great beers now. It is getting much better now, but I still can't understand how people drink Miller and Budweiser, and the other big names. Go figure!

yeah its 18 here but it was rarely enforced in my experience, depending on where you wanted to go obviously. We certainly do have good beer here, you can't beat a pint of real ale
