so i remember reading in a thread a few month back of a problem that sometimes occurs when you download files. ending up with a file stuck on the desktop that can not be deleted. i also remember someone posting the program needed to get this file off the desktop. tried searching the this site last night for that thread with no luck. does anyone remember or know what program gets rid of these stuck files?

Re: downloaded files stuck on my desktop
That happened to me a few weeks ago, it wasn´t downloaded to the desktop, though.
I ended deleting by going into the MS-DOS command line, and doing it from there...Comment

Re: downloaded files stuck on my desktop
check the FAQ
Sometimes it can also happen that you can't delete the .file or the folder you have stored it in. It's a bug in Windows and there are several ways to get rid of the file or folder. The easiest way is to delete the file/folder on the next reboot in your Windows Explorer. This works most of the times but sometimes you need to reboot several times.
If you still can't delete the file or folder, you can use this program (free version) ---> http://www.gibinsoft.net/gipoutils/bin/moveonb.exe
The program is pretty self-explanatory. You can either choose a file to be deleted on the next boot in the windows context menu (right click on file) or you can launch the program from the start menu and drag and drop the file or folder you were not able to delete in the upcoming box and choose to delete it on the next boot.www.mjwebhosting.com
