whats really scary is the fact that 8 of the top 10 run producers in the AL are now on the yanks, they are gonna score 1000 runs. if the big 3 surprises(chacon, wong, and small) can be clutch again, then we are better off. keep in mind that they had 14 starting pitchers due to injury last year and still made it to the playoffs. (and didnt get swept).

boston took a step back. they lost a ton of offense, are gonna lose david wells and they want to trade matt clement.

STILL though, you have to put your money on the white sox again. they are intact and even better. then improved thier offense with a few good moves, and improved thier pitching with Vasquez. scary.

the only team that has the right to bitch at the yanks is boston, as thier fans sell out the stadium every game, like the yanks fans do.

blame yourselves for not showing up to your fav team's games. they can only pay the team what they make, which is what the yanks do. if your owner is pocketing money and putting a shit team out, then yell at him. you will see the mets payroll skyrocket now too as they have already topped 120 million and will spend more and thier attendance is gonna rise dramatically next year too.

Quick, what was the last big name acquisition the Yankees made in the offseason that helped them win a championship?

Johnson? Vazquez? Brown? Rodriguez? Sheffield? Mussina? Giambi? Matsui? Pavano?

Every year since 2000, the Yanks have acquired 1 or 2 big names, and everyone proclaims them as champions, and then the games actually start.

Damon has a girl's arm, and other than his huge 2004 season, he has been not much more than a slightly above average player the last 5 years. His stats were down across the board this year, and he wore down in the second half of the season.
