i really cant think of a single player since mattingly who i loved watching more. he was pure, a rare player who actually enjoyed playing and played for the game. never whined about money, got into trouble, or caused problems. he was raw talent. his honesty is something missing too. the last of a class of athletes that only baseball has left. i just remember two of his best games came a day after his father died and a few days after his wife was diagnosed with cancer, when he showed up with head shaven and threw 4 touchdowns. one of my heroes and sadly, the last. even jeter is a bit fake as he never will say anything bad at all. favre is THE MAN.

thankfully we still got guys like biggio and mariano rivera left in baseball, and they are dying out.

i may bleed purple and gold, but i have a ton of respect for Brett Favre. for years he has been a force against my beloved Minnesota Vikings. Brett Favre epitomizes what football is all about: playing hard and never giving up. he will surely be a first ballot hall of fame inductee. will he suit up in 2006 now that Sherman has been fired though?

my hats off to Brett and all of his accomplishments

its bad enough i have to listen to every announcer in sports give this guy a blow job every time i watch a game, but now i have to come to [ms] and see it too?

yes i know, he's brett favre. the greatest quarterback ever. but does he really need another blow job?

Brett Favre --> <-- the rest of the known world

Anyone see the video of him on espn talking about how its not about the money and its all about the team if he was to come back next year. Great guy.

He will be missed. Probably one of the best and toughest QB out there. Next stop the hall of fame.

no doubt a great player, should probably retire before he embarasses himself.
