That?s true, but this has nothing to do with homosexuality. people?s sexuality has nothing to do with the fact that mankind will kill themselves sooner or later. That?s not a rational explanation. If nature would bring up homosexuality to stop human growth, why are gays and lesbians in the minority?? China, india and africa are growing so rapidly, there is no decrease of human beings in the future seen, so homosexualty can?t be a naturally given thang.

i thought i might ignore the lot of you because obviously intelligence is difficult to come by on this board, but I thought I'd reply and maybe something will click in your empty heads.

Scientific viewpoint:

Mutant is a biological term (not something that you have so ignorantly picked up from popular fiction) that denotes a genetic abnormality, a difference from the norm (the majority of the population) expressed in (not always but mostly) a phenotypic form that is advantageous or disadvantageous to the individual in terms of survival and also this particular genotypic/phenotypic expression having a higher statistical probability of being found in future generations of a given population via reproduction.

Now this is not the case with homosexuality because it is not an advantageous charecteristic as it cannot be passed on to future generations as homosexuals do not reproduce in the biological sense of the term. Hence homosexuality is not from something found in genes and the most obvious example of this is identical twins were one is heterosexual and the other homosexual which betrays to us that homosexuality cannot be genetic since both have identical genes.

Even assuming a "gay" gene, do we not all have choice? Some Drs believe alcoholism is an inherited gene. Does that make it ok for me to be a drunkard.

Putting your lifemaking organ into a deficating, human waste orafice, sounds absurd but hey, your minds don't work in logic do they.

This whole gene thing is suspect. Next out, they going to tell us there is a gene for paedophiles. Ah, its ok, cause its not their fault, its their genetics. Here, here, its ok, won't you watch my kid this weekend.

Today the sovereignty belongs to the people and it is them who determine what is acceptable or not; hence, the goalposts continually change to suit their demands. As time goes on, societies are tailored to the needs of the people and thus become more accepting to certain ideas and practices. These societies do not have a fixed criterion for determining right or wrong and this is why in reality there is no such thing as ‘illegal’ or ‘wrong’; rather, there are temporary wrongs that, given time, will become accepted by the masses. This is why we find people publicising and campaigning for various things so that society becomes immune to the ideas eventually leading to the acceptance of them. This was the case with homosexuality and this will be the case with paedophilia.

Lastly, for those people who look at it in terms of a nurture or nature argument, most evolutionary biologists would probably say (choosing their words carefully in public I hasten to add) that it isn't biologically feasable that the trait is genetic as it is a population limiting factor (homosexuals don't breed) and since most mutations from the norm are very rare unless they give some added advantage to survival (homosexuality is decidedly not advantageous as it would not allow one to breed) they would dissappear from the random malfunctions of the genome from whence they came!

We all have choice and if you want, you can call that a gene, because we all have it.

I think you have demonstrated quite clearly how moronic you are and that your views are not really well-thought out but is the regurgitated nonesense of others. Perhaps it is time for you to actually have an original thought - perhaps you should do a spot of reading and actually digest the words and formulate something original, then perhaps we could have a fruitful debate.

I mentioned the scientific viewpoint to provide a perspective on it since some homosexuals like to argue that 'they were born that way' and that 'it's in their genes'. There is no conclusive evidence to prove it.

Plus i gave my viewpoint in terms in logic, I could have gone more in depth but to write pages and pages on this subject is not worth my time, and in the end you're not going to believe it because you've made up your mind, fullstop.

Everyone has the right to disagree but at least do it without the insults.

Do you have idea why the Great Powerful Roman Empire was conquered by a bunch of unorganized tribes? What the fundamental reason? It is a known fact. Sexual disaster leaded to total disaster of their famous, stable social system they had. So those losers Roman Empire gays weren?t cool at all

And that, my friend, is the definition of intolerance. "Normal behavior" is relative - what was "normal" 2000 years ago would seem barbaric today, just as today's standard of "normal" will seem barbaric 2000 years from now.

To judge a person's character based on their sexual preference is parallel to judging them by their race, religion or nationality - period. Dress it up with all the empirical evidence and scientific fact you want, but at the end of the day its still bigotry and hatred.
