This week we say goodbye to one of dance music's most important DJs.
After 20 years behind the decks Danny Rampling has decided to hang up his head phones and explore pastures new.
Along with DJs like Paul Oakenfold and Nicky Holloway, Danny Rampling was instrumental in bringing the Balearic sound back to the UK in the 1980s.
He founded the legendary Shoom club with wife Jenny in 1988, began braodcasting his Radio 1 show The Love Groove Dance Party in 1994 and received Muzik magazine's Outstanding Contribution To Dance Music award in 1998.
For your services to club land and for all the great parties, Danny we salute you!
