Sasha played an incredible six hours of music. he put the crowd through their paces, playing mind-blowing house, electro, breakbeat...all the sounds hot dipped-galvanised in his incomparable style. tonight Fabric witnessed Sasha's ability to grasp a genre of dance music and make it his own and take it up a level.
The first hour of incredible electro sounds lay down the benchmark for the rest of the night. Fex - Last Train got the whole place jumping and the electro sounds that are so prevalent in the tune, produced by Infusion's Frank Xavier on Marine Parade, seemed to float throughout the entire six hours. Sasha gave us a new take on Spektrum - Kinda New, looping a part of melody for what seemed an enternity, and then unleashed leaving everyone in hysteria. Yes he did play Unkle - In A State, but it was a take on the Involver Edit, and it is a far more different kettle of fish.
The night was afterall part of Sasha's Involver tour, and the joyful, uplifting melodies that are entwined with darker ambient sounds were certainly star attractions. Spooky - Belong and in particular Felix Da Housecat - Watching Cars Go By (which Sasha had played at his previous appearance at Fabric) got great responses.
I nipped out of the main room to catch some Terry Francis in room 3, who was delivering his unique hybrid of vocal house, tinged with techier sounds. With a little more space to dance in there, he really kept the crowd growing with some amazing tunes.
Back to the main room. For all people have said about the Man Like, he truly delivered last night. There was not a person in the building that had not had their soul touched, and when you time things as well as I did  there was no escape, you just had to let yourself get lost in the music.
Big thanks to the people I enjoyed the night with Simon, Hailey, Jay, Andrew
Videos and photographs to follow :P
PS I am listening to Involver and it's sending a continuous shiver down my spine.
