::: FRANKIE KNUCKLES SHORT BIO :::
Born in New York's Bronx in 1955, Frankie Knuckles has been named the "Godfather of House".
Frankie Knuckles got into DJing after being offered a job by legendary DJ TEE SCOTT, and his DJing services were later requested by LARRY LEVAN at a New York's The Gallery club in 1971. In 1978 Knuckles became resident at the legendary Warehouse club in Chicago, where he contributed to the birth of House music by mixing Disco, Soul, Funk, and Synth-Pop records. Knuckles presided at the Warehouse club between 1977 and 1983, and he later opened his own Power Plant club and became resident at the Sound Factory club.
Frankie Knuckles started his career as a producer in 1985 after 15 years of DJing with a series of releases for Trax records and worked with artists like MARSHALL JEFFERSON, Fingers Inc., and Danica.
He later created Def Mix Productions - along with SATOSHI TOMIIE, Dany Madden, DAVID MORALES, and Eric Kupper - and remixed for some of the biggest Pop stars, including Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, and Chaka Khan.
