I went to the avant premiere of Kapote in Belgium, comes out in three months here...
I don't know if this movie is released yet in the States but I think so:
Plot Outline: Truman Capote (Hoffman), during his research for his book In Cold Blood, an account of the murder of a Kansas family, the writer develops a close relationship with Perry Smith, one of the killers.
I simply did not like this movie...maybe because it's just not a story that is suitable to watch on screen. Ok the story about a gay writer that falls in love with a killer is somewhat controversial maybe, but so what, that doesn't make a good movie.
The acting is good, film is made by talented people no doubt about that, but in my opinion, it's a story that should be read in a book and not something you watch on television or at the movies...
Has anyone seen this movie yet, and if so, what did you think of it?
