Time for my DJM - 300 to retire.... Any suggestions?

After about 3 good years it is time for my DJM - 300 to be laid to rest!

I am letting it go and in hopes of picking out a good replacement. I spin mostly Progressive - similar to Cattaneo and Desyn. I would like to have a good mix of effects, sampling, and etc.

    Any suggestions???

Not looking to spend any more then $800!

i think your only chance for getting all that under 8 bills is a used djm600.

There's no effects on the Allen & Heath but the sound blows away the Pioneer IMO... You can also pick up the DJM500 new for less than $800 as well.....

denon 1500X is sweet and it has a USB export for direct to computer recording, its compeltely digital, and multiple type inputs, meaning you can run anything from a guitar to a sampler/ drum kit through it. and its only bout 900 US>

although, the XONE mixers are the sweetness if you can afford em.

no matter what, anything decent is a nice chunck of change. nothing like dropping a grand on equipment.

600's alright, the standard club mixer. def an upgrade from a 300.

but sightless and geof were dead on when they were talking about the xone's.

onboard fx are over-rated imo. nice to have - but for me, they are not a priority.

you can get a xone32 in the 6-700's new.

There are many choices but very few brands that are recognized as being "worth" using/having... That's one of the reasons you see hardly anything in clubs other than Pioneer or Allen & Heath. My suggestion is head to your local Guitar Center and just play around with all of them including the Denon, Tascam, Numark and whatever else they have... Get a feel for them and what you're comfortable with.... Once you find one hit up pssl.com and some other online sellers to see what they're selling it for and if it's less Guitar Center will match it....

That is a good idea... There is a real nice Guitar Center close by to where my mother lives. I'll have to check it out....

woah, i just saw for the first time the pioneer DJM-400, and DJM-800. I actually hadn't even heard about these before. i'd post some pictures but the website won't let you check the properties.

i've also heard lots of good things about those eclers, but have never seen one in person.

if I had the chance now. I would not have bought a 600. I've gotten into really liking the eq and the faders on the A&H mixers. They suck out sooo much more sound so you can really get in bepth with your mixing. The new Mackie mixer 2 channel is pretty sweet, with full cut eq, if you turn all of them down you'll completely cut your sound off.
