smart move on disneys part. cartoons like peter pan and the lion king dont do it for the kids these days. It has to be 3d or stfu 7 billion is a pretty good deal considering how much pixar movies make and video games, merchandise, etc.

Did you hear Ford's press conference yesterday. They tried to put a "good" spin on cutting 30,000 jobs. Saying that sales in India and China are up. BULLSHIT!! Ford is going down the drain. I think its time for the Fords to step out of the way and let someone who knows what they are doing in. They would still be the biggest shareholders but they need new leadership. They need someone hungry to prove himself not a relative that fits the job.

lol, we had this on in our office.

shoudl have went like this.

1. we have been overspending trying to keep up.
2. japanese automobiles are cheaper and marketed better, not to mention look better.
3. we could never lower prices to an effective range becuase we must deal with the union contracts that rape any profit margin into a benifits fund that a wall street guru would kill for. to back this up, an assembly line employee here makes aabout double what thier asian and european counterparts make, so they dug thier own grave.
4. we are a corporation and we are here to make money, this is what we gotta do.
5. too bad, no questions, i (the directors) am still making a very nice salary as i am in charge thanks to studying hard. goodbye. fuck you toyota, honda, and mazda.

pixar was holding out on disney for a long time for the same reasons you guys mentioned above ie. greed, and im personally bumed becasue the pixar headquarters are based about 5 miles from my house and im sure there gonna move. but in all fairness, and all hate for corporate greed aside, it is all about making movies for kids( who live in affluent countriesof couse) and making them happy, and i dont think thats goign to stop anytime soon.
