btw college and my club/rave days, I lived through the 90s, but I don't remember much of it

ie: there was a strike in baseball?

Slap Bracelet. they were peices of flexable plaistic or fiberglass that when staigthened held their shape and essentially were a ruler covered in fabric. you would ""slap"" your wrist and they would wrap around to form a bracelet. girls from NY to san diego had about 50 on at a time for awhile. note:: they were so dangerous to little kids b/c they would rip the fabric and cut your arms.

Re: How you know you experienced the nineties

Started with doc martins, flight coats, bands like nirvana, pearl jam, sound garden, ect. all being cool.
changed to wearing fila's, baggy pants, clocks around your neck. Everyone in school was trying to record there own raps on cassette tape, and listening to snoop, dre, ice cube, and cypress hill. I liked the begining better myself.

Somehow I feel I may be outnumbered on this one so am not going to argue about the proper name for a bum bag!
