    Re: Audio tools

Someone correct me if I'm wrong ...

You can clean up the recording with software like Soundforge or Audacity, but as to actually "bumping up" the quality, there's no point in bumping up a 128kbps recording, it won't make your set sound better. All the sounds have been recorded at that bitrate, going up to a higher bitrate is just padding it out with ... data that doesn't do anything.

I got pics and video. But I will upload them in the morning. I need to smoke this nice phat joint and just close my eyes and replay the amazingness in my head.

i dont think this is coverd in any of the list in the first post -

is there a peice of software that will add mps together - ie one set in single tracks that you can just enter all of them to make one big flowing set again?

the only way i know is to use the actual code - and it takes me forever cos I never get it right the first ten times.

(I know hjslpit can join - but only if hjsplit was used to split to begin wth)

              thanks

I asked that back on page 2! no one could find a faq or anything?!!

I use the start edit, play and end edit buttons
and then from the file menu choose save selection - and it will save only that part of the mp3 that you have between the start and end indicators - as a differnet file.

I have not done anything more complicated than that - but it works fine!

                  Any use to you?

                    Re: Audio tools

^ Yes that's all I want to really do. I have lots of mp3 files on my iPod that I may only listen to parts of - I want to cut out the crap parts to free up space on my iPod.

It will take a while but will still help. Cheers mate!
