John Digweed is a DJ's DJ. The beauty of what he does lies in just how different he really is from his contemporaries. From his early beginnings in Hastings, England at the age of 15 in the blossoming scene of Acid House to the apex of the international DJ'ing world he has created and maintained a level of integrity that is the benchmark for both DJ's and producers globally. Right around that time, John met a talented young DJ from Wales named Sasha. And the rest, as they say, has been and continues to make history. John and Sasha began playing together at now famous club nights like Northern Exposure in Brighton and Renaissance in Mansfield. lol, loving the way this article gives you the impression that S&D met on a level, Here's the story, Digweed in the early 90's was just another Sasha wannabe, who was a local DJ in Hastings with his own small clubnight, with the storys spreading about Sasha's residency at legendary Renaissance, John took a chance and sent a demo to the club, Sasha got to hear it, loved it, and convinced Geoff Oakes to get him in for a trial, Diggers hit the jackpot, Sasha then came down and played at Digweeds Babelicious night in Hastings and the rest as they say, has been and continues to make history.
