    coming this Wednesday February 8

mercuryservers very own LV-8 aka Leo Vak is gracing mercurysessions airwaves for the first time with a bangin mix.

MercuryRising w Leo Vak & Steve James Today @ 10am

welcome to february 2006's edition of mercuryrising. this month, staying true to form, i have plucked one of our very own for a guest mix. [ms]'er Leo Vak [LV-8] hailing from the dirtiest alleys of new jersey with a mix that sounds like a bad dream. i mean that in a naughty way. i couldnt stop bouncing around when i was listening to this. makes me think of miami and that makes my pants dance!

Leo Vakhman or LV-8 as he is known on the MS board is from the NJ / NYC Metro Area.
He is considered by many to be a "Trainwrecking Master". When asked how he got the title
he simply answers with a confused look "Have you heard any of my mixes?". Yet, from the all
the nights of attempting to mix and the vote of confidence he receives from his deaf neighbor
who previews each mix he continues to create mixes for all to enjoy whether deaf, dumb or guido.

Fortunately, due to the area that Leo lives in he was able to experience the sounds
of DJ greats such as David Morales, Frankie Knuckles and local top dogs like Glenn Friscia
on a regular basis. The deep house sound had been a great inspiration for Leo until, he was taken
to a club by a close friend to Twilo in 1999. Like, many others who share the same story and experience,
Leo was in absolute awe too see 2 men have complete control over 3000 people with just the use
of turntables. All who have experienced this know those men as Sasha & Digweed. From there on after
he woke up from his drug and alcohol comatose he began his long trail of understanding and feeling
    house music.

When Leo is not being his usual music junkie self he works on his lovely Fiances nerves and at a
Securities Research company as the "Computer Guy". Leo will also perform at any batmitzvahs or
    senoir citizen parties if requested.

as for me, i have laid down a more 'opening set' kind of mix this month. so for the first time i'm going to air my mix first and let leo's grab you and thrash you afterwards. hope you enjoy.
