    Anyone tried this yet/know anything more about it? I gather that it is supposed to compete with iTunes. Does that mean that you'll be able to use this to load songs onto an iPod?

          never heard of it... then again, i can't stand i-tunes and refuse to buy an ipod so why am i even posting here.....

            it evidently uses extensions the same way Firefox does, and is open-source. I wonder what sorts of customizable things it will have, and if any of them will allow you to alter what can and cannot be loaded onto your iPod...

            Looks like its a ways from showtime, though...

              apparently it works the same way as itunes does but it connects to many different music store instead of just one ... beatport is one of the stores that it connects to

              have yet to try out the program though .. would be interested to find out what sort of plug-ins does it have since its open source like FF

              was thinking of starting a thread on this but toasty u beat me to it
