This doesen't prevent people from downloading just places a watermark in the file so they can track it back to you. Converting the format won't do any good because the actual audio is modified. Screw mp3, everyone should switch over to Ogg-vorbis. Higher quality, smaller files and no royalties need to be paid like with mp3. http://www.vorbis.com/
