    New York type people...

Okay, okay.. it's a shameless promotion - but it does have an [ms] tie-in!

One of the .AUdio regulars, Robbie Lowe, has just landed in New York for some meetings and will be doing a few gigs around the traps.

For many, Robbie's live sets from Lot 33 (2004) and from the 24:7 tour supporting Danny Howells (2003) will be known to you as featured on [ms] ...my personal feeling is, and yes I'm biased, that this guy is the absolute BEST tech house/prog house DJ from Australia. Kasey Taylor, Phil K and Anthony Pappa are at least as shithot as Robbie to my ears. Those who know the standard of .AUdio will understand what that really means.

Although I'm big into shameless promotion, there's few people I'd stick my neck out for - but if you like house in all its quality forms, this guy is going to take your nuts off.

So, if you want to catch a few downunderground tunes courtesy of Australia's very best, Robbie Lowe - then you'll need to head to Shame Le-Souk Summer Sessions in New York on August 31.

I know there's at least a couple more confirmed gigs, but I don't have the details on me and will post up again soon with those. Trust me - don't miss it.. he's also got my DAT recorder with him to capture the best of New York beats to bring back home to .AUdio in the near future.

Grant I wish you'd posted this just a bit earlier...I looked into it and he actually had played here last night. He played at Mixx Lounge. Damn!

But he'll also be playing at Lunatarium Saturday night (see: http://www.lunatarium.com )

and as far as Le Souk goes, that's about our equivalent of your Sounds on Sunday (along with PS1). If anyone's in NYC and hasn't gone, you're really missing out! Here's the info for Le Souk:

      FREE BBQ from 2-6pm
Half price pitchers of Sangria from 2-5pm

      2pm-4am
      Le Souk
      47 Ave. B (between 3rd and 4th ave.)

August 1: Robbie Lowe joins residents Astro&Glyde and Swamy

and best of all, it's a free party.

      I'll be there

Thanks for the heads-up Grant...maybe a little belated, but at least not too late.

I just got an email from Robbie to say that's there's definitely more gigs coming up while he's there. If you do happen to make it (especially you, Ben) then go up and introduce yourself.. Robbie's one of the friendliest blokes you could ever meet.

Apparently the Lunatarium gig had some problems with the decks skipping, but I'd imagine the Le Souk setup will be cool.

Le Souk is an awesome little place to chill out, eat, socialize and get some damn good tunes while at it.

Well I did make it to La Souk and it was awesome as always! Unfortunately Robbie didn't get a chance to play last night, but Astro&Glyde and Swamy did a hell of a job and kept the place absolutely rockin. I did get a chance to meet Robbie though and I couldn't agree with you more, he is an absolutely friendly bloke He says he'll probably be playin the upstairs room next Sunday. Looking forward to catching him there or anywhere in this city soon.

Hey buddy. Yeah, I heard it got bumped til next week - but that's not a bad thing cause it sounds like Robbie's gotten struck down with a bit of a flu.

Robbie Lowe for playing next Sunday at Le Souk, New York. Yeehah!

Hey Ben, can you drop Robbie an email? He wants to contact you. His address is robbie@djrobbielowe.com - thanks chief!
