Okay, okay.. it's a shameless promotion - but it does have an [ms] tie-in!
One of the .AUdio regulars, Robbie Lowe, has just landed in New York for some meetings and will be doing a few gigs around the traps.
For many, Robbie's live sets from Lot 33 (2004) and from the 24:7 tour supporting Danny Howells (2003) will be known to you as featured on [ms] ...my personal feeling is, and yes I'm biased, that this guy is the absolute BEST tech house/prog house DJ from Australia. Kasey Taylor, Phil K and Anthony Pappa are at least as shithot as Robbie to my ears. Those who know the standard of .AUdio will understand what that really means.
Although I'm big into shameless promotion, there's few people I'd stick my neck out for - but if you like house in all its quality forms, this guy is going to take your nuts off.
So, if you want to catch a few downunderground tunes courtesy of Australia's very best, Robbie Lowe - then you'll need to head to Shame Le-Souk Summer Sessions in New York on August 31.
I know there's at least a couple more confirmed gigs, but I don't have the details on me and will post up again soon with those. Trust me - don't miss it.. he's also got my DAT recorder with him to capture the best of New York beats to bring back home to .AUdio in the near future.
