and that's exactly the point. if you don't condone terrorism but it's what everyone else perceives as what you stand for, then it's your problem to get rid of it.

if smith's kid comes over and fucks with me, and i go over to smith's house and his kid isn't gettin an ass whoopin, smith and i got a problem, right?

whether or not they condone terrorist action is not "relative" to me; they either condone or they don't. and yes, it is their responsibility to make sure that they are portrayed accurately in the media...who else's? If the community does not like the stereotype that they are all flag-burning, suicide-bombing extremists, then it is their responsibility to stop the propagation of this stereotype by stopping the ones who perpetuate it. And by that I mean not cartoonists, who are merely commentating, but flag-burning, suicide-bombing extremists.

      Yeah, ok.
“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.”
      Marcus Tullius Cicero

I'm no expert on explosives but wouldn't sticks of dynamite be wrapped a bit tighter? Since I've seen this picture I can't help but think these are packages of Ritz crackers (the kind that come in the big red box).

i dunno if its as simple as that...that anology takes into no account the reason why smiths kid came and fucked with you..your assuming and portraying that the muslims for no reason whatsoever except pure malice and love of death and destruction do what they do in acts of so called terror.... most of these extremists who blow themselves up donot have laser guided missiles to do the job man...or anysort of sophiticated machinery or weapons..they make themsleves into weapons so that they may react...think about that knowing that there is no choice no way of inflicting damage except to make yourself a bomb and take your life along with others....and flag burning most of the people who resort to buring flags is symbolic...they cant speak in english and tell fox fuking news and cnn what they want so the most effective 2 minute way of showing that you donot like something make a copy of it and burn it..whos gonna doubt or get confused with what your saying...? the americans burnt their own flag in demonstations in the 60s because they were sybolising that thier country no longer represented what they want it or believed it to...it was only america in name not in spirit...jimmy hendrix played the star spangled banner in the destorted way he did to sybolise and communicate what he felt about what happened to america (last day of woodstock) and what he feels about it...why because he could..he was a great guitar player and could speak with his strings at the time many criticised him deeply and scournfully...but in retrospect we see what he was trying to say...

                    Re: Toonophobia

about palestinian children dying..thats some insensitive shit you be saying man...dont stand so close?...did you know that about 48% of palestinian children under the age of 10 have seen..like actually been there to see thier father being either beaten or held to be powerless in front of thier eyes...can you respect the effects of this...very few have ever been put in that situation...think about how you saw your father..the protection and security he gave to you and you family.. and think about realising that there is no such power in him at such an early age...that he cannot protect you and that he is powerless against any isrealite (military)...how you cannot move freely in you own country without someone watching you or someone knowing where your going...and that someone being the percieved enemy...how your movment and citizenship is being regulated by someone who does not belong to your country...
there is no speration between so called terrorists and the ordinary fathers and young men who make up the resistance...the men who were the scarf on thier face and have the ak in one hand are the very same people who live there as so called citizens...there is no seperate army or militia who make up the terrorist....
a year and half ago there were six children varying from the age of 3 to 11 who went to play in the strawberry fields that they they would go to almost everyday...they were there picking the little strawberrys and eating them virtually thier own back yard...when a tank shell was fired from a distance which blew up the little bodies into pieces leaving them unrecognizable...they were all brothers and sisters..all belonged to one mother...the compensation..none...the excuse...suspected terrorists....the case..never saw the light of day....only made a brief apperance on a show on television which must be forgotten by now...these palestinian children who are growing older seeing this around them these generations of oppressed children who become impowered by the group psyche which is hamas will only have violence and hatred for thier neighbors....1/3 of all the casualties which have been recorded by the palestinian side have been children...and for every one isrealite dead there have been five palestinians to pay the price and out of these 5 1/3 are kids..inoocent kids forget the innocent adults..fuk them...think about the new lives a little more and think about what it was like to be one before you say or support something like 'dont stand so close'....
