Supposedly, the yanks are down to decinding between Olerud, bringing back Tino or "The Crime Dog" McGriff.

if the yankees get tino martinez back, you should all watch that first game when he is announced. it will be INSANE.

tino is along the lines of donnie baseball in terms of respect from NY fans.

i went to the game when clemens got 4000/300 and the best part of that game was when tino first came up to bat

I have to honestly say it really hurt seeing him leave the Yanks.

But here's some news from the NY Yankees

his defense was good in STL, but Martinez bat was HORRIBLE in St. Louis.

He couldn't hit a NL pitch if is was a fucking basketball.

I've been hearing that the Yanks most likely will sign Olerud who just released by the Mariners. He was damn good player when he played for the Mets and Blue Jays.

                  IMO

Nomah is going nowhere, at least not during the regular season. This coming up offseason is a whole different story.

                    Clement isn't going anywhere.

Also, the Cubs are only 1.5 games out of the wildcard, which is all that matters. In baseball, the wildcard is not at a disadvantage at all. Ask the Marlins and Angels if you don't believe me.

I wouldn't brag too much about the NL. The AL is by far the stronger league this season. The Cardinals have an EASY schedule this season when compared to the AL East and West divisions. The AL East and West are (at least in my opinion) the toughest leagues in MLB to win games.

However, I do like the Cardinals...They have Tony LaRussa. Easily the best A's coach of all-time.

But I do still think that there are several AL teams that don't have the Cardinals record that are as good or better. Examples: A's, Angels, Rangers, Red Sox (ugh), Yankees (super-ugh).

I'm an A's fan if you couldn't tell. GO A'S!
I ain't no damn noobie. Bitch.
