well, since their stock price has no basis in reality (ie. its not being based upon any kind of substantial earnings), i could have told you this was coming a looong time ago. anytime you get a stock trading way above normal P/E or P/CF ratios for the industry its in, unless its based on enormous earnings, things are gonna go in the crapper eventually (see: tech stock bubble circa 2000).

I just think that Google went on sale... More of a time to buy. Google does not offer Guidence in its Q conference calls, that is both good and bad.

George Reyes (CFO) did not know that his comments would cause the stock to plummit. (or maybe he did ). Either way, I am of the opinion that the GOOG stock just got marked down and is on sale for a few days. I remain bullish to $475 It is trading at 72X earnings now @ $364.

Reyes just said that growth would slow a bit. That is all. A company the size of Google can't continue to grow at that rate. However, GOOG has virtually NO DEBT! Growth may slow (a point or two) but the company doing extremely well. The China deal will just help. Its moving away from huge growth to more of a GE type company.

In other news AAPL went on sale yesterday! Its under $70 right now.

I'm just sitting here watching Powerwave and Seagate go nuts.

                        LOL.
                        Thanks man...

the mixes have gone as Techy as my portfolio. Oh well, if the economy slows a bit, which it is doing right now and the FED does not let up on interest rates in spring, we'll all be looking at gold for investment, General Electric and big pharmaceutical companines (people just don't stop taking their drugs just because the economy slows). Not quite as sexy as TECH stocks.

Berdenke, sir... please cut interest rates thanks.

you remain bullish with that kind of multiple?! a P/E of 72x is so bubble-esque its not even funny. they should be trading at 20-30x earnings tops. they are hugely overvalued.

GOOG is so overpriced, based upon YHOO's valuations(book value per share), GOOG should be trading @ about $180. Its about double that right now..

no way is GOOG worth twice the price of YHOO

Yahoo is sitting on a mountain of debt. Google has room to grown and the liquid to do it. YHOO is a great stock. However, GOOG IPO in 2004 was at $85? The amount of growth has been huge... thats why its trading 72X earings You really thing that GOOG should be trading at $180? Google has paid off debt and made moves to take over new markets in search while keeping would-be allies and competitors guessing as to what effect they will have on the market they choose to enter.

Yhoo is on the defensive and Goog on the offensive. If you are looking for growth? Goog is the one. Yahoo is a safer stock if you look at the dollar amount of an individual share, than google.

HOWEVER, if you take into account company debt and the underestimated power of microsoft in the equation, Yahoo doesn't look quite as good as analysts suggest.

Looking for Growth, go GOOG! There are risks as with any stock... you are after all just buying a price... betting.
