    3. Water is a resevoir for heat

    4. Trapped heat filters into the ocean

    5. As a result, ocean temperatures increase

    6. Increase in ocean temperatures create more moisture in the air = more hurricanes, aside from that, changes in weather patterns.

    7. Currents displace warm water with cooler water from the north/south poles

    8. Side effects include (as reported along the oregon coast and west coast) low-level food chain organisms dying off because warmer waters are not producing the correct feed; increasing number of tropical storms per year; increasing temperatures and record setting temperatures within cities.

Scientific American and Popular Science had a great article about this over summer. I'll see if I can find them. Midway through the beginning of the industrial revolution is where this most likely started as they've said that the carbon molecules have increased almost 2 or 3 fold in a span of 100-120 years.
for all that, we still need proof that if human industry had been eliminated from the climate, that we would not be seeing the changes that we are.

and even if there was universal definitive proof, there are too many roadblocks to making any changes now. good luck shutting down industry, taking away automobiles, airplanes, stopping deforestation.

and shouldn't more CO2 be good for vegetation?

I'm not obsessed with the debate over global warming, though I don't have a doubt in my mind that it is indeed truly happening... my concern lies in the fact that this t-shirt site not only has shirts that proclaim it to be a lie, but they also have shirts that say

"mom and dad NOT tom and brad"

So along with denial of scientific proof of trends that indicate that global warming isn't just a made up concept and painting as a lie or conspiracy...

...we have blatant displays of disregard to equal rights ( rights that take nothing away nor impact anyone other than those who are being denied them, in regards to gay marriage specifically) yet at the same time proclaim that they are pro-freedom and use images of Iraqi voters' fingertips with ink from their elections on them... I'm sorry but you cannot truly believe and support the US being in Iraq for reasons of bringing freedom to that nation and at the same time advocate and press for equal rights being denied to your own fellow citizens.

There have been constituional amendments in several states that have been voted on publicly and passed making gay marriage permanantly illegal.... People lined up and unashamedly voted to negate rights to a group of people... yet had they voted otherwise or abstained the implications would have not affected them in the least nor is there any shred of a legitimate negative recourse towards heterosexuals as even a possibility.

And then when facts are brought in, people can just say... "well it's too late, good luck changing things now..." Or my favorite of people using their personal "faiths" as ammo to dictate things for not even just another group of people but EVERYONE else and try to paint it as a threat to society's collective morals or values which have long been in the toilet regarldlessly...

        Bottom line....

What gives anyone the fucking right to even for one second think it is ok to dictate for anyone else on the planet what they can or cannot have or deserve?

How can you look at yourself in the mirror knowing that you conciously do not respect your fellow human man... to tell someone that no matter how much they love another person it will always be inferior, wrong, and illness, or undeserved...?

Sorry, but this is something that has and will always get me so worked up and fumingly upset.... I needed that rant and I hope it sparks thought in one if not several who read it.

Have a great weekend everyone! TGIF and quittin time!
